Today’s ISS cleaning serviceis a world away from the traditional ‘mop and brush’ clichés. We’re making full use of new cleaning equipment and modern technology to offer a thorough, efficient service, but the innovations run deeper than you might expect.

We’re working with Tubelines and National Rail to provide cleaning services to around 100 underground stations. The work ranges from graffiti removal to washing station frontages and controlling vegetation. Time is a big consideration so to co-ordinate our service we've developed a 24 hour reporting centre in Greenwich allowing us to track when and where our employees are working.

Above ground we’re active across the UK. At Spitalfields Market, for example, our team are keeping on top of the 240 tonnes of waste produced every week. We’re doing it in an environmentally friendly way too. All reclaimable cardboard is separated and bagged for recycling, fruit and vegetables are sent for composting and reusable containers are collected by hand and recycled by wholesalers. It’s a 24 hour-a-day, 6 days a week job, but our team never fails to rise to the challenge.
